The Galactic Empire, also known as the First Galactic Empire, Palpatine's New Order, the Imperium or simply the Empire and later the Old Empire, was the galactic government established by Supreme Chancellor Palpatine to replace the Galactic Republic in 19 BBY and bring Sith rule to the galaxy.

旧正史：帝国崩溃后，残余势力与新共和国既有斗争，又为抵抗遇战疯合作，最终由杰格德·费尔建立费尔王朝，实行较为温和的统治。
新正史：帝国残余持续与新共和国交战，先后重组为第一秩序、最终秩序。
